Winter Newsletter 2015

Winter Newsletter 2015

Dear Parents,

I am sure that you will have thoroughly enjoyed Key Stage 2’s and Drama Club’s Christmas production, ‘The Pied Piper. The part-singing, acting and music was magnificent.  Pupils gained in confidence, learned team-work and vital practical skills.  Above all they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  We look forward to Reception and Key Stage 1’s Nativity on Thursday at Family Assembly.

THANKS! Thanks to FAB for their hard work this term – winter fair, family assembly and refreshments at productions.  Thanks to all our Governors who work very hard behind the scenes.

New Library: Our £180,000 library is nearing completion. Library furniture will be fitted this week and new books will be purchased in January.

Orchestra Performance For The Elderly:  Our orchestra is performing at Lawnswood School for a special Christmas lunch for the elderly.  They are playing music and singing carols.

New Musicians:  ‘New’ flute and violin players will start in January.

Swimming Year 3: Thanks to all the parents who have agreed to go on the rota. It is not too late to volunteer!

New Teacher: Temporary full time: Miss Nokes will be starting in January 2016 as History/Foundation Subject teacher working mainly within Key Stage 2.

We wish you a restful holiday and peaceful New Year.

School returns at 8.50am on Monday 4th January 2016

 Yours sincerely

J.Turner
