BUILDING WORK: Preparations are under way for a temporary classroom in the playground.

 

SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY 23rd MARCH

Dear Parents,

Thank you for supporting the school and ensuring good attendance on the ‘snow days’. Apologies that we did close on one of the very bad days.

Library – £5000 has been spent on new books for the library from the school budget.

Residential Visits – Pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 have enjoyed residential visits over one or more nights. Year 4 enjoyed Malham in the snow and had an excellent experience in the snow!

Fair Trade Fortnight – Thank you for your support the school raised £41.50

Musical – Family Assembly

Easter egg competition – Thursday 29 March  – Beecroft are once again holding a competition for egg decorating! There will be a prize for the best decorated egg in each class. Please bring your entries in by Tuesday 27th March. They will be judged on the Wednesday and winners will be announced in Family Assembly on Thursday 29th March. One egg per person please, and no big cardboard backdrops so we can see everyone’s work. Good luck! (see reverse poster)

Sports Relief – ‘A Sports Relief Circuit’ will be organised on Thursday 22 March – please bring a donation of £1. Visit www.sportsrelief.com for more information.

Remember – All pupils in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) need to provide a fountain pen and cartridges. Please ensure names in jumpers.

  • Pupils also need trainers, in Key Stage 2, for the field (pumps not suitable)
  • No Jewellery please or hooped earrings (studs only)

Invitation to view work in the hall and look at your child’s books and folders – Wednesday 21st March 3.30pm – 6.00pm

This is not a consultation evening but there is the opportunity to look at your child’s books and folders with your child and to have a brief informal chat with your child’s class teacher. Work is on display on screens in the hall.

Friday 16 March – Family Assembly Malham.

Wednesday 21 March – Pupils work for parents – 3.30pm – 6.00 pm.

Friday 23 March – Building Day School Closed.

Thursday 29 March – Family Assembly- Music – ukulele, djembe, flutes, recorders, violins – Easter egg competition.

BREAK UP FOR EASTER – THURSDAY 29 MARCH – RETURN TO SCHOOL MONDAY 16 APRIL
