U11 Boys – Monday 7th October – vs Swinnow Academy
After their record-breaking season, Beecroft U11s is a new-look team, with only 2 squad of last season’s squad members remaining. But with some new signinings, many playing their first ever competitive match, Beecroft travelled away to Swinnow Academy feeling optimistic.
After a tense opening, on the slanted pitch, which was making passing football difficult, Beecroft found themselves 2-0 down. It was starting to look like it was going to be a difficult game and a long season. But the boys didn’t let their heads drop and pushed forward with determination. They started to work as a team, with some great attacking play, to come back and go in at half time with a well deserved 4-2 lead.
The second half was just as exciting with some end to end football, but Beecroft were superb, finishing the game as deserved 9-5 winners.
