Headteacher’s Update: Monday 30th June

Dear Parents/Carers,

The term is moving on very quickly and we have just over three week’s left before the summer break. It is a particularly busy time with reports, timetable for 2025-2026  and interviews for new staff. We hope that you can look back on the year with pride and positivity.

We will let you know of class organisation and teachers before the end of term and there will be an opportunity in school for children to meet their new teacher.

Staffing News:

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Hoyle and Miss Walker. Mrs Hoyle is retiring after 30 years at Beecroft. She is an excellent support member of staff and will be greatly missed. I would like to thank her for all the hard work and support for our school.

Miss Walker is leaving after 7 years. She started as a newly qualified teacher (ECT) and is relocating – getting married and has gained  promotion to Head of Special Needs in East Yorkshire. She will also be greatly missed. (Thank you Miss Walker for travelling the long distance from April when you moved to Beverley – we appreciate it.)

Miss Walker says,

I am very sorry to be leaving, I have loved being a part of the Beecroft team for 7 years and have had nothing but support from staff, pupils and parents. I’m now moving into a new chapter, getting married and moving closer to my family in East Yorkshire. Without the Beecroft team’s support, I wouldn’t have gained the promotion that I have got with the move to another school and have to thank Miss Turner and the senior leaders for the experience I have gained. I will miss Beecroft, but have learned so much and I am leaving with happy, positive memories.” (Katie Walker – teacher)

Mrs Hoyle says,

” I have stayed at Beecroft for 30 years because I have enjoyed both children and staff. I have progressed in my career, at Beecroft, to HLTA and have enjoyed feeling valued in my work. I will miss it!”

ThanksOur Family Lunch and Family Assembly were very well supported. Thankyou!
