Headteacher’s Update 2nd January 2023: Happy New Year!

School Starts Tuesday 3rd January 2023 8.30am-8.40am

Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back to school on 3rd January 2023. I hope that all our families have enjoyed a relaxing break and time to unwind and recoup.

Our concerts by Y2-Y6 and Reception and Year 1 were very enjoyable. Our children very much enjoyed taking part and the term finished on a high. Your positive comments

were very much appreciated. Thank you for your support for your children and thank you to FAB (Friends At Beecroft) for the hard work with refreshments and the winter parties.

Looking forward to the next half term below is a list of dates:

Wk 3rd January and 9th January: No clubs as the school is having a 5 yearly electrical testing after school. This is an extensive piece of work

Wk 16 January: Clubs re-start

Wednesday 1st February: Family Assembly

Wednesday 1 March: Family Assembly

Safety First Please Front Entrance To School
Over the break we have spent £10,500 on improving the footpath round the front of school, widening the path in front of the school building, re-laying flags and installing a ramp pram access on the request of some parents. (rail still to be fitted and on order)

There are large yellow figures on the footpath showing the walking route. Please DO NOT walk across the car park. We will be talking to children about walking on the yellow people markings and taking classes out to look at these. Please support us by reinforcing the use of the yellow walking route.

Parents are responsible for their child’s safety coming into school and leaving school. The dark mornings are particularly difficult.

We have spent this substantial sum to improve safety – please help!

Thank you for your support.

Best wishes,

J. Turner
