Ofsted Pilot Inspection
I am sure that you will be delighted by the result of our Pilot Ofsted Inspection which took
place for 2½ days last week. The full report transcribed by the Local Authority at the feedback
session to governors is attached. Whilst the report is not published with a grade there is no
doubt that Beecroft is amongst the best schools in the country.
The report is glowing in its praise! Inspectors said, “It had been a refreshing privilege to spend
time at Beecroft Primary School” and that our school “constantly goes the extra mile”. The
pupils are described as having, “keen attitudes to learning” and there are “excellent
relationships between adults and children”. I hope that you are justly proud of our
achievements and our work together to ensure that the children in our care receive the very

Dear Parents
We are looking forward to working with you in partnership. We want all our pupils’ to be happy and successful. There are a number of residential visits arranged in Key Stage 2. Year 5 have 2 nights and 3 days at Herd Farm in North Leeds and Year 4 have 2 days at Malham Cove We are continuing with our Design and Technology in partnership with ICSAT at Dixons Technology College in Bradford. Our musicians and Key Stage 2 instrumental teaching continues to be very successful. One of our key priorities, both in staff training, and with pupils’ is the development of reading. Dear Parents,
I would like to start by thanking you for the excellent turn out for our open evening and morning. I am sure you will agree that it was a time to enjoy Beecroft at its best. All pupils had their quality work on display and the hall exemplified high level writing as well as the exciting projects from Design & Technology. The event started with our orchestra playing in the hall. We had approximately 50 new parents who commented particularly on the confidence of our children as they proudly explained the Beecroft story. Continue reading
