Headteacher’s Update: 29th June 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,

Our Summer Fair was a spectacular event enjoyed by all of us. A BIG thank you to FAB – for its excellent leadership and the hard work of all the parents who contributed. Well Done! Thank you also to all parents who attended and spent money which will be much appreciated by all of us in school.

Summer fair 2023: We are so proud to announce, the total amount raised for Beecroft and FAB is £1,411.30.

This is AMAZING! A massive thank you to everyone involved – such a fantastic team effort and a successful event overall.

Raffle (46 prize winners) – £360.70, Games 1 (Parent led) – £23.55 Games 2 (Football) – £73.50, Games 3 (Netball) – £21.45 Bouncy Castle – £62.40, Hot Dogs Stall – £101.20 , Refreshments Stall – £66.11

Cultural Food Stall  – £187.50, Cakes Stall – £188.78, Plants Stall – £54.20, Tombola Stall 1 – £40.61, Tombola Stall 2 – £42.80, DT School Stall – £100.00, School Uniform Exchange Stall – £54.00

Siblings With Stuff (Kids Stall) – £34.50

Governors Report To Parents: This will be in a brown envelope in pupil post on Monday 3 July. A report from governors is not expected from a maintained school and not statutory – however, governors agreed that there is so much to celebrate that you would appreciate all the information.

Saturday 8 July: Kirkstall Festival: Hesketh Mount (not school) at 11.45am. We have made a banner in each class – the theme is pantomime. Children can dress up as a pantomime character or wear PE kit. The parade lasts about one hour. Year 5 and Year 6 can come on their own with your permission. There is no supervision on the festival field so all other children need to attend with parents. Staff leave after the parade so cannot supervise at the end of the parade. We always have a fantastic turn out from Beecroft for this community event so please support us.

Other dates:

3 July: Governor report to parents

6 July: Reports on pupils out to parents

8th July: Kirkstall Festival: 11.45am Hesketh Mount

12 July Family Assembly 11.45

17 July Sports Day

21 July: leavers assembly and Family Assembly 2pm

Thank you for all your support and we look forward to a very enjoyable end to the school year.

Best wishes,

J. Turner
