Headteacher’s Update: 13th October 2023

Dear Parents/Carers,
There is plenty of good news, about Beecroft, to pass on to you today. We are proud of our supportive community.

Our Under 11 Football Team- Won 10-0 against Shire Oak yesterday away @ Lawnswood High School. This is an exceptional start to the season. Well done to all the team!

Enterprise: St George’s Crypt: Over £400 raised so far. Each class has a target and have decided themselves how to raise the money. There are still some Y6 key rings made in the DT suite – on sale next family assembly. Thank you for all the harvest gifts which have been collected from the crypt. Our Family Assembly was well attended and it was great to see our pupils now in Year 7 who returned for their music medals. In total 57 ABRSM music medals were presented from copper level to gold.

Start of school and attendance: School starts at 8.30. By 8.40 am lessons are already underway. Our attendance to Friday 13 October Reception to Year 6 is 98% Keep this up! This is what we expect and was the norm pre-Covid.

Year 5 Whitby Residential: All Year 5 are going to Whitby next Thursday and Friday for their Geography residential. We hope the weather is good for them and we know they will enjoy the experience.

Well done parents: Thank you for all the reading and home- school reading which is very important. I was looking at Year 2 this week and all the excellent research they had done at home for autumn reports. The partnership is much appreciated. Thankyou.

Reception Children: our Reception classes have settled in very well. Stay and join in after Family Assembly on 25 October.
