Dear Parents/Carers,
Morning 8.30am Entrance to School
I am writing mainly to clarify the morning routine. Coming straight into school at 8.30am makes for a good start. Please can I respectfully request that parents/carers do not come into school. Please parents/carers step back to allow your child to get in rather that blocking the door itself. Please can I also add that if your child is upset – for any reason or still finding the morning separation a struggle can you come to the front entrance or alert us by email so that we can put something in place where we meet you in the playground. Sometimes settling after a long holiday takes time – we can help if we know. This stops a problem at the door.
I have refreshed the protocol for mornings with staff and there will be a senior leader at the Key Stage 1 entrance. The leader will not allow access by parents. The door will be closed promptly at 8.40am. The Key Stage 2 door will also be closed promptly at 8.40am. If you are late you will need to walk round school and come through the front office.
